Another week down nearly…nice
Current weight is 118.4kg which means my total weight loss is a smidge (love that word) over 45kg! AND I am now officially under the 120KG range...I don’t know if you actually understand how great that feels for me! ;)
Had an ace time in Christchurch caught up with heaps of people and did lots of walking...not having a car was a good idea!
Here's a rundown on the weekend:
Flew in on Friday afternoon and caught a cab into town, dropped all our gear of at the Rydges and then did a mish to catch up with my mate Jess at work, went for a cuppa tea at a cool little place called C1, I recommend it to anyone who is down the line! Quickly realised that my two thermal tops and long sleeved shirt were not going to cut it so went of a shopping mission, scored a nice Industrie jacket from the Hunters and Collectors store for $99! STOKED and warm!
Caught up with my mate Damien in the afternoon/eve and went for a walk around the city. We ended up walking down to the court theatre to meet up with Jase and catch up with a few of his mates post show, this ended up turning into a 4am closer at really cool bar called Goodbye Blue Monday, it had a very cool feel to it. Walking home was a good 2km in 0 degree weather...yeah not my favorite, especially as I was stone cold sober!
Saturday got up at 11am and did all of the arts centre and markets, got a few bits and pieces - mainly woolen items to fend off winter. Rocked up at the NZ famous (heaps of mint bands have started their path here!) Dux-Deluxe bar and restaurant and had a really odd carrot and tofu salad... hmm jury is still out on that one.
Sat night Jase and I went to a show at the court theatre called "I Love you, your perfect, now change" which was indeed funny and very well put together; we had been out the night before with 3 quarters of the cast so it was good to see them with their game faces on! After the show we hung out at the court bar and the $3 dollar beers entertained...everyone but me! But I had a good time. Jase, John, Kate and I took off to head for SOL square (where all the bars and clubs are) and stopped in at a nice and warm little French bar and had a few drinks then moved on back to Goodbye Blue Monday... something about that place is so comfortable... maybe its the 10 or so student'esq couches out the front with heater and fires in barrels?? Anyway. roll on a few hours of careless yarning and drivel and all of a sudden its 4:30am and your once again walking the freezing 2km journey home... although this time I was a bit more prepared and had my long pant Calvin pj's on under my jeans, two thermal tops, a long sleeved shirt, a light hoodie, a jacket and a scarf!! it was -2 degrees and I was still cold but I could at least feel my l
Sunday we met up with Jason’s Uncle and Aunt for brunch - go the herbal tea. And then walked about 3km to catch up with a really nice couple that Jase met while he was here for the show last year, I was well pleased they had a fireplace! after that we split up and I took off with My friend Jess (and her dog Scoobie) and headed out to Sumner to catch up with her family which was mint, it had been far to long since we had caught up and I’ve promised to keep in touch more often! We took the dogs (2 pugs) for a walk out to the cliff point (not sure what it’s called - maybe Taylors mistake?) and then cruised back into the city. Jase and I then got a lift from friends back to the airport where we parked it in the Koru club for a while before finally setting off for Auckland on our delayed flight... we landed about 2 seconds before a major electrical storm so was pretty pleased with our timing.
Monday, Tuesday and Yesterday I’ve been vigilant on the exercise with a 3-4km run followed up by a 10km cycle each day. I know that this is helping the weight loss so much so am trying to keep motivated - I almost piked out yesterday but felt bad so drag myself out the door! You always feel a million bucks after a decent bout of 'hyperventilating, spew your lungs out' exercise.
Am staying in Auckland this weekend, have my parents and a set of grandparents coming up for a visit so imagine the weekend will be fairly low-key (Nan isn’t to keen on the dance parties anymore) but I’m really looking forward to catching up with them, no doubt a fairly large amount of wine will be consumed by family and friends, how convenient for them that I am a full time sober driver at the mo!
Hoping for a nice walk at Mission Bay or the Zoo on Sunday morning weather permitting and then head into work for a couple of hours in the avo… I’m away next week at a franchising conference in Queenstown so need to get myself sorted!
Hope all of you had great weekends and the working week is running smoothly for you.
Catch up soon. Will post some pics tonight as my lunch break is fast running out.
Peace.
